Nature Based Approach

At Terrain Psychotherapy we take great inspiration from what nature can teach us. We know that just being in nature can help with our mental health. In our practice we can implement movement, and nature into our sessions, based on our clients lifestyle. We can use wilderness therapy, walk and talks, nature bathing, breathwork, meditation, etc. We can also incorporate outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, snow shoeing, and more. Movement of all kind is helpful, and can include yoga, tai chi, primal movements, body weight exercises, etc.

Healing our Traumas

Each individual experiences both positive and negative situations throughout their lives. As we develop, these experiences shape our worldview and sense of self. Healing from negative experiences allows us to remove limiting self-beliefs, helping us achieve our full potential, improve relationships, regulate emotions, feel safer, and build personal strength. Because trauma is often at the root of mental health challenges, I offer EMDR, and other methods, to help clients process and heal from these experiences.
